Loogic Partners

Loogic engloba:

Thank you for visiting this project!

We need your help to buy the materials we will use for the construction of earthquake-resistant housing in the Valley of Langtang in Nepal. This humble family with two children who now survives as it can under the sheet metal and plastics will thank you. We are five people on April 22 to begin the work with our own hands, we have decided to afford us all so all the help that we receive go entirely to these materials from construction and transportation. We hope that this small idea you raise as we and you can do your bit.

This initiative arises thanks to David Ruiz de Gopegui, about 10 years ago a young mountain guide who decided to go to live in a small town in the Pyrenees and dedicate his life and his work to environmental education. Lover of the mountains and the ordinary people took up the challenge of bringing a group of 8 people, the trekking in the Annapurna in Nepal in the fall of 2015.

After saying goodbye to the group, David travelled to the Valley of Langtang, where lived the reality of its inhabitants 8 months after the terrible earthquake in 2015. This experience made that their objectives hikers in the Valley to spend his last days travel next Kanchha and Dolma, a family with 2 children, who selflessly welcomed David with its few means and surrounded by rubble change. This young family that lives a 3 and a half hours walk from the nearest town (Thulu Siabru) need urgently to rebuild his house to recover the dignity that the earthquake was.

Shocked by the experience in Langtang. David, the group that traveled to Nepal and some more, we decided to get down to work to put a grain of sand in Nepal. Along with Kanchha and Dolma we aim to achieve this initiative of cooperation toward a common goal: the construction of a new home under the basis of earthquake-resistant construction, and thus ensure that before new earthquakes home not trap them inside.

So thank ORCHE ONG a small organization which has launched projects similar and close to langtang, have decided to support us to take forward the work with a construction project, an approximate budget and one of them is to offered to overlook the work before, to provide for our work once we get there. (Thanks Lagar)

Already we have been taking the first steps, looking for different lines of funding and dissemination of this small project in Nepal. Calendars, informative talks, urban piggy banks, charitable actions, solidarity markets... We are think that a small gesture adds up to a big change.

Paul, Alicio, Josete, Ivan and David have decided to go there, to afford us our tickets and our stay near Kanchha and Dolma, for two weeks, to take directly the proceeds (avoiding middlemen) and to begin the work with our own hands.

We have tickets! We have little time, April 22 we will, but to make this idea a reality, we need your collaboration and dissemination. That is why we have resorted to the crowdfunding, because we also think that it is the best way to reach more people.

Only with your help and with a small gesture we can give hope to Kanchha, Dolma, and their children in the most beautiful way. And you can also take a small gift that will make you remember your bit by Nepal.

To reach the House of this family must travel a long way on foot for 3 hours and a half, some 3500 steps on foot... Every euro donated will be as a step towards the dignity of this family in the Langtang Valley.
