What we need from you

Hi,

I’m Almudena, project author. I hope that you liked our introduction to Los amos del mundo and that you can support us with your contributions. You support will cover part of the production costs of the play before its premiere: design and construction of scenography, sound and video design, rehearsal rooms, marketing campaign, distribution, music copyright, actors’ fees, etc. We aim to produce this play while committing ourselves to good labour conditions. 

In today’s theatre environment it is difficult for just one producer to take on 100% of the financing that a production of this kind requires for an innovative direction. I am the author of the play but I also want to direct it and work with the team I’ve been working with until now; a team that is enormously talented and very committed. The dramatised reading that we did at the Centro Dramatico Nacional is the best evidence I can offer of our ability to rise to this challenge, and demonstrates that despite our young age we can get this show off the ground and that we will do so with outstanding results. But we need your help for this to happen.

Joining forces is the way forward for this first production. We have the intention in a long term period of making this a sustainable job. We believe that this first project, Los amos del mundo, will be a perfect first step towards producing future self-productions that all of our backers can enjoy in the theatre. Two new projects for this burgeoning company have already been written and published. But for now, we’re placing a particular emphasis on this first project because the quality of the play has already been recognised by a national prize for emerging dramatists, the Calderón de la Barca theatre prize and it was well received by spectators at the rehearsed reading in the Centro Dramático Nacional, especially young people.
