Daahoud Abdul Salim Álvarez was born in Seville in 1990 in a home with a strong musical activity. At the age of four he recived his first piano lessons from his father, Abdu Salim, an american sax player and composer. He studied with Juan Olaya in Seville, and Ángel Sanzo in Badajoz, where he graduated with Honors in 2013.
Currently he continues his classical and jazz studies at the Conservatorium van Ámsterdam.
He has played in Spain, Portugal, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Morroco, in many different groupings: solo, duets, orchestra, jazz sextet... Recently he has played as a solois with the Orchestra of Almería.
Among his current musical projects are Ubuntu, Ab-dúo Salim and Daúd Salim Trío.
In 2013 he cofunded the Asociación Ayuderte, which organizes artistic events such as concerts, workshops, expositions, etc, with charity ends. This association cooperates with the ONG David Rusell y María Jesús, currently investing in the construction of a well in Africa.
